Some types of juicers are product specific. They are made to only squeeze certain types of juice.

Citrus Juicers

Citrus juicers only juice citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruits and lemons. The juice is made by pressing half of the fruit down onto a cone that spins and reams the fruit.

Centrifugal Juicers

Centrifugal juicers are the most common type of juicer. They feed chopped-up or whole produce through a chute into a spinning basket. The pulp collects against the basket walls through centrifugal force, and the juice passes through tiny holes in the basket walls.

Masticating Juicers

Masticating juicers allow for continuous juicing by cutting up the produce and discharging the pulp at one end of the juicer.

Twin-Gear Juicers

Twin-gear juicers will provide the most nutrients; they work by crushing and pressing fruits and vegetables to extract the juice more effectively.

Our Top Tip
Line the inside of the pulp catcher with a plastic bag; it makes cleaning up the pulp much easier and quicker as it can all be lifted out all at once.
